Khabib Nurmagomedov dominated Conor McGregor in the ring at UFC 229, but the show wasn’t over after the Irishman tapped out.
Brawl Outside the Cage
Once McGregor tapped out, it appears that Khabib spit on him and then made his way towards the edge of cage making threatening gestures at someone in the crowd. Security tried to hold him back, but he vaulted himself over the cage and suddenly a wild brawl was happening between Khabib and Conor’s team.
Dillon Danis, a close friend of McGregor and his jiu-jitsu coach, seemed to be the main target. According to Joe Rogan, Khabib was provoked by Danis, who hurled insults at him from outside the ring.
While security was trying to get control over the brawl outside the ring, some of Khabib’s team crawled over the cage fence to attack McGregor, who was back on his feet after losing the match.

Arrests and Charges
According to Dana White, three members of Khabib’s team were arrested for the post-fight brawl. They were later released when Conor decided to not press charges.
White also said that Khabib’s paycheck for the fight would be withheld until the Nevada Athletic Commission completed an investigation. There was speculation that some of Khabib’s team could be deported and banned from coming back into the US.
Beef Between Khabib and Conor
Back in April, McGregor was arrested after he and his entourage attacked Khabib’s bus at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Conor threw a steel dolly at the bus, trying to taunt Khabib to step outside.
Khabib responded later, saying that Conor should “send me the location” to fight. McGregor said that he would have killed Khabib if he had stepped out of his bus. The two have been feuding ever sense.
