After decades of successes, the fad of the boy band doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. Sure, it may come and go in popularity, but every generation since the boomers have their version of a boy band.

When reality television success met the boy band formula, O-Town was its first offspring. In the year 2000, MTV produced a reality television show for ABC called Making the Band. After the band was formed on live television, they were signed to a new label and became their debut act.
Success was very temporary, but their song “All or Nothing” hit #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. They toured as the opening act for Britney Spear’s Dream Within a Dream Tour in 2001. By the year 2003, the band split.’

Best known for their cover hit single, “I Swear,” All-4-One exploded onto the scene in 1994 with a lot of expectations for success. In fact, most of their hit songs were covers, including “So Much in Love,” “I Can Love You Like That,” and “Someday,” which was on the soundtrack to Disney’s Hunchback of Notre Dame.
While their popularity in the States waned, they ended up finding some success in Asia and spent much of the first decade of the 2000’s touring Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Seoul, Bangkok, Shanghai and Australia.
